The stage is set, players are in place, and the play is beginning
again. Fully-lit planet earth takes center stage rising high in the
celestial theater. On cue, the sun's light finds the face of the
new moon and Luna, goddess of the night, awakes from the
sleep of sleeps to live out another 29–1/2 day lunar cycle:
On the moon one month is a lifetime.
Throughout the lunar cycle Luna absorbs the sun's life-giving
light, rivals her companion earth, ponders the significance of
her being and, ultimately, questions her own mortality—always
with the hourglass running out...
